Exercise Mix

I decided to put together a playlist of songs to listen to while exercising.  And while I plan to put theme on a shuffle that has sufficient space for hundreds of songs, for some reason I want to limit my playlist to 25 songs.  So, I wanted to some feedback on songs to use.  I went through some of the songs on my itunes and picked out the ones that seemed like they would have good beats and/or had pun-ny titles that could be related to exercising/running/being active.  Let's be honest, it's mostly about the punny titles.  What can I say?  I'm nerdy/cheesy like that.  Here are some of my options and my rationale for their potential inclusion:

Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows -- Because I like this song and it gives me energy/makes me smile
Bad Day by Daniel Powter -- Because it makes me feel better when things are hard
Bless Yore Beautiful Hide from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers -- I'm not entirely sure why...
Bye, Bye, Bye by N;Sync -- Because I associate it with waving before taking off
Country Roads by John Denver -- Because people run on roads, and I love this song
Call Me Al by Paul Simon -- Because when I try to motivate myself, I call myself either 'Al' or 'Ellsworth'
Defying Gravity from Wicked -- Because I feel as though running is defying gravity
Here it Goes Again by OK Go -- Because in the music video they are on treadmills
I'll Make a Man Out of You from Mulan -- Because it's totally a work-out song
I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor -- Because it's awesome; and I will survive
Ice, Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice -- Because I might get shin splits and have to ice my legs
Im'ma Shine from Step Up -- Because it's from Step Up, which I associate with exercise-like dancing
Jumpin', Jumpin by Destiny's Child -- Because jumping and running are similar, sort of
La Camisa Negra by Juanes -- Because I sometimes wear a black shirt when I run
Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts -- Because some people run on highways...or roads
Now of Never from High School Musical -- Because in the movie they run
On My Way by Rusted Rood -- Because I am on my way to being able to run a 5K
One, Two Step by Ciara -- Because running requires taking steps
Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae -- Because it reminds me of friends
Run and Tell That from Hairspray -- Because the word 'run' is in the title
Run It by Chris Brown -- Because the word 'run' is in the title
Streak by Ray Stevens -- Because it's a song about a runner...sort of
Therapy by All Time Low -- Because I'm running because my supervisor told me to
Till the Dawn from Step Up -- Because it's from Step Up, which I associate with exercise-like dancing
Walk It Out by Unk -- Because I end my runs by walking to cool down
Walk Like a Man by Four Seasons -- Walking is sort of like running; plus I start off walking for a warm-up
We're All in This Together from High School Musical -- Just because
Where's the Party Tonight from KANK -- Because it has the lyrics "somewhere down the road"
You Can't Stop the Beat from Hairspray -- Because it talks about something that is unstoppable
I 2 I from A Goofy Movie  -- Because it's fun and makes me think of dancing

Any thoughts?  Suggestions?  Vetoes?  Clever playlist title?

Ellsworth! Great playlist. I laughed out loud more than once. :) You could probably also add Love Me by Justin Bieber. Because, um it's Bieber, and I love it.

I only recognize one song, Walk Like a Man by Four Seasons. Surely, I can't give you any advice. But do hope you will exercise. Also, hope you will have an enjoyable Thanksgiving. Thinking of you--hope to see you at Christmas time.

i agree with the Beiber suggestion. I think every mix needs hsm and beiber. i also suggest Let's get it started by Black Eyed Peas because it starts out with running and running and running... ya
